WHY CHOOSE PHYSIOTHERAPY?

Physiotherapy is a gentle, holistic and effective way of treating pain and dysfunction.

We conduct thorough assessments and treatments, which are especially important in preventing injuries and improving overall physical function.

About mE

Since a young age, my love for sports has been a driving force, leading me to participate in various activities from school to university. Experiencing personal injuries and witnessing the positive effects of physiotherapy inspired me to pursue a career in physiotherapy.

In 2002, I earned a BSc in Physio (Hons) from The University of the Witwatersrand and completed my community service the next year. Following a short stint at a sports practice, I took charge of a Physio Practice at Netcare Milpark Hospital in 2004. That same year, I provided physiotherapy support to the Gauteng Ladies Waterpolo team during their interprovincial tournament. In 2005, I served as the physiotherapist for the SA Deaf Cricket team at the ICC Deaf World Cup in India.

We embrace continous learning and a holistic approach, and we value patient care, and integrity, above all else. I am extremely grateful to serve and learn from my patients and colleagues.

Physiotherapy is a journey to restoring our patients to their best, 1 breath and 1 step at a time.

Physiotherapy is not just about treating the symptoms, but about restoring hope and improving quality of life.

Our Dedicated Team

We take pride in our patient-centered approach to care. Our commitment goes beyond treating illnesses or injuries as we recognise that we are dealing with real individuals, their emotions, families, and the entire medical team.
Our physiotherapy team is carefully selected for their extensive clinical expertise and, most importantly, their empathy towards patients.

We provide care to hospital patients, and outpatients at our facilities, and offer home visits for rehabilitation post-hospitalisation or frail patients in specific areas.

As part of the specialised stroke unit at Milpark Hospital, our team collaborates within a multidisciplinary setting. Additionally, we are the exclusive practice equipped with a Motomed, a cycling device for hands and legs used in stroke and orthopedic rehabilitation.
